Audubon Bird Call

£15.95

The classic American bird whistle.

Originally conceived by songbird hunters in Europe and used by multiple generations of bird fans and outdoorsy folk, the Audubon Bird Call has been made and tuned by hand in Rhode Island, USA in the same way for over 60 years.

The bird whistle's sound is produced by a beautifully simple twisting motion. By rotating the zinc plug back and forth with varying pressure against the wooden cylinder, a plethora of tweets and chirps can be accurately imitated by the caller. With reasonable care, this instrument will provide decades of service.

PLEASE NOTE: Packaging has now changed slightly so it doesn't use plastic - see final images.

Issues with shipping but promptly addressed

I failed to get this via the express shipping I wanted for Father's Day, apparently due to a Royal Mail error, but when I emailed my complaint it was promptly dealt with and the bird call replaced, which I appreciated. The bird call itself was a huge hit with him and his son.

A call of nature!

The Audubon Bird Call is great for mimicking the song birds in our area. I highly recommend it. The postage to Ireland was fast and we even got half the postal rate refunded as we had paid too much. An excellent company to buy from.

Wonderful stocking filler

Yet to try, but I'm sure this will make an interesting stocking filler, and something that isn't made of plastic! Look forward to trying it out and hopefully attracting more birds to the garden.
